
The Concert Venue
The Choir held a concert at Wisewood Methodist Church on 9th October 2010 with guests 'Music a la Carte' The concert began at 7:30pm, and after a brief introduction , the Choir sang 4 pieces from the current repertoire - these included 'Song of the Jolly 'Roger' and 'Alexander's Ragtime Band'. Out guests then took to the stage for the first time, and performed 5 songs, a mixture of solo and duets - including 'Give Me Your Hand, Zerlina' from Don Giovanni, 'Younger than Springtime' from South Pacific, and 'Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man of Mine' from Show Boat. The choir then took to the stage again, and sang another 4 pieces - including 'The Rhythm of Life' which was arranged by our guests Musical Director 'Chris Wiltshire' and the Welsh Hymn 'Deus Salutis'

Our Guests - Music a la Carte
After the interval, the choir took to the stage again to sing another 4 pieces - including 'Morte Criste' and 'American Trilogy'. Our guests then entertained us with a further selection of pieces from the shows / opera - these included 'Tonight' from West Side Story and 'Non piu andrai' from “Marriage of Figaro. The concert finale consisted of 2 pieces - firstly the choir sang the popular 'Medley from Les Miserables', and then Ruth from 'Music a la Carte' joined us to sing 'Easter Hymn' from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni
