Sacred Heart International Festival - 6th June 2008
The Choir took part in a concert at Sacred Heart Church, Hillborough as part of their International Festival. We shared the stage with Kathryn McAdam (Winner of the Musical & Operetta, and Open recital classes in the 2007 David Clover Competition), and Massimo Restaino (Max). The evening was compered by Gerry Kersey of BBC Radio Sheffield.
The Concert Venue
The Choir started and finished the first half of the concert, performing 6 pieces from the current repertoire which started and finished the first part. Kathryn performed a selection of Music from the Shows and Folk songs in 2 sections, and Max entertained the audience with saxaphone and accordion pieces
Church Decoration
The second half of the concert followed the same format, with the Choir again singing another 6 pieces from our current repertoire. Kathryn perfomed a selection of Operatic Arias & Music from the Shows, and Max then sang for the first time at one of our concerts. The concert was concluded as usual by the 'Medley from Les Miserables'.
