Barney and Judy Goodman's Marriage Blessing - 1st October 2011
The choir sang at the blessing service for the marriage of 2nd Bass Barney Goodman and his wife Judy at Ecclesfield Parish Church commencing at 1:30pm. We sang 3 pieces before the service, which was conducted by our Chairman, Rev'd Canon Lewis Atkinson - these included Tibyay Payom and The Rose. After Barney and Judy had arrived, by special request, we sang Gwahoddiad in Welsh. We then joined in the singing of the 2 hymns during the service - accompanied by Steve Vickers our accompanist. After the service, Choir members were invited to a meal at The Shiny Sheff at Lodge Moor. The pictures below give some idea of what went on.
